Sanctuary Power Yoga 300 Hour Graduates with Our Instructor Heather Rems Korwin
There is comfort in having people. For me, this includes, John and my yoga community and friends. Thank goodness there are yoga instructors who teach me and are generous with their yoga practice and their time. I’m lucky to have friends in all walks of life who inspire and talk me down from figurative ledges I find myself on.
The people who come to LAM Yoga teach me. When I’m teaching a practice I’m also learning. I learn something from every yoga class I teach. Leading a practice is incredible and I love it, but I get butterflies STILL every time before I teach.
I love sharing my practice! At the end of the day
I’m ridiculously hard on myself. I know what this is. This is EGO. This is exactly what we’re supposed to let go of in a yoga practice. Even though I know this, I still fret.
Here is a tiny example of my brain at night while I’m getting ready to sleep:
oh my God. I only did that twist on one side. CRAP, CRAP, CRAP! (Thumping forehead with palm of hand)
I know this isn’t the end of the world but I will wallow.
The point I’m making here is this. Thank you beautiful, diverse LAM community. I am honored to offer a space for you where we can learn together about this complex life and practice. You make life easier to navigate by laughing with me.
AND, life doesn’t have to be perfect. We can walk through it together. With all our anxieties and all our naked flaws. Besides, perfect is so boring. Happy New Year!
