We live life and have experiences. Somewhere along the way we change and loose that unselfconscious joy of play and movement we had. Children don't worry about what they look like in a pose. They are fearless of falling, love trying new things and love a challenge. Can you do that? Can I do that? It will be my intention in my yoga practice and in my life to honor and cherish my inner child.
I fall down a lot. During practice of course, but also in my life. I used to fear falling. It's embarrassing to let people see you fail. To flounder like a beetle on its back, to look helpless. Truth, we don't grow if we don't fall. I learn something every time I fall out of a pose. Yoga has been humbling. I got serious in my practice later in my life. Im 46 and I've learned to be patient and kind to my body. I fall and I get back up and I'm grateful. I'm grateful for a body that loves to dance and move and flow. I'm grateful for a sense of humor that gets me back up when I fall on my face in life too.
You know that excitement of a new book when you discover it's something special right away. That first page has you like WOW! I wasn't sure how The Alchemist got into my hands, but I fell in love with the story and the message. "You are your own personal legend." Paulo Coelho taught me that, "When you want something the whole universe will conspire to help you." Both of these books took me on amazing adventures and both were life changing.
Some one pinch me. I'm dreaming. Ouch!!! I guess we really do have a fun shirt designed by the one and only Rachel Decavage of Cinder and Salt fame! I love the path this business is taking me down. I'm using my brain in new and creative ways. I go to bed excited and it's hard to fall asleep. It's okay though! I love the energy and the creative flow! I blame the practice for all the good juju.
I love practicing to music! All kinds! Sometimes airy fairy yoga stuff and sometimes it's The White Stripes that feeds my soul. Check out our playlist on Spotify! This is perfect for your home practice! Just click on the link to take you to Spotify and away you flow! 🎶
